The prime mission of Kartavyam is to make this world a better place. We at Kartavyam are constantly striving to make clear the ambiguity which lies between the ordinary people and the “wish” or “desire” of making this world in some way “better”.

Kartavyam means Responsibility, duty and Obligation. At a point in life, we all seek some help, some support, and a hand to hold. In this world full of opportunities, we will always be able to proceed with the knowledge we gained from those who once helped us, taught us and believed in us. The Purpose of help might differ from our experience, but eventually, that stand and authority is what Kartavyam believes in and acts for. We at Kartavyam believe that each of us owes our part to this world, and it is our Duty, Responsibility and Obligation to help in the ways that we can and help who we can.

To have become a volunteer or donor for poor

The Spirit of Service

Any volunteer to do good to the society around him should have the will to serve the society to change into a better one than that which he started with. Hence the spirit of service is very important.

Selfishness

Yes, you read it right. A volunteer has to have the selfishness to derive happiness by spreading laughter around him. The selfishness to sleep peacefully, the joy of being with people who need support of the society is what drives a volunteer.

Sacrifice

A volunteer must be willing to sacrifice his time and energy and that too for something that doesn't give any returns immediately. He has to toil and volunteer. No immediate or material rewards. The Joy of Giving: Any person who has experienced the joy of giving will agree that it is the best kind of happiness. It is like a drug and is very addictive. When you give and give and give and not expect any return, that is the correct form of giving.

No Moral Policing/Showing Sympathy

There are different people who do this. Your job is make their lives better in case of children and elders. In case of environment, it requires lot of hard work on your side. Do your work and move silently.

Dedication

After the initial enthusiasm slowly starts ebbing away is when you real volunteering starts. A level of dedication is required to continue functioning as a volunteer. Develop that dedication and turn it into passion. You will genuinely enjoy.
